Batten Kill Valley Runners Club membership has many benefits, among them discounts at all our club races, subscription to the always informative and entertaining club newsletter, The Batten Kill Valley Runner, weekly group training and fun runs at interesting locations around the region, and various other special events. Mostly we offer the opportunity to meet some really nice people who share an interest in running. Southwestern Vermont.

Shows what you can get when business partners unload the heavy artillery.
Boston Running Club "Boston's premier organization for runners, helps athletes of all ages and abilities reach their fitness and competitive goals through customized training and personal skill development. Our members find camaraderie, athletic guidance and team competition at the Boston Running Club. The BRC provides the structure for achievement of your personal goals! "  Site is very well done.
Greater Boston Track Club By Mark Tuttle. "Since its founding in 1973, the Greater Boston Track Club has been the home of running champions and running enthusiasts. While the GBTC has had its share of famous members --- Bill Rodgers, Greg Meyer, Alberto Salazar, and Pete Pfitzinger to name a few --- it's the runners of all abilities who give the GBTC its friendly, fun and welcoming character."  Very wise use of links to other sites.  Smart.
Cambridge Running Club "A relatively small club with a friendly supportive spirit. Runners with a wide range of abilities, experience, and fitness goals. A diverse membership that includes women and men from various backgrounds with an ages that can span 30 or 40 years). A low-key alternative to many other running clubs in the Boston area."    Site is a little hard to find, but very well done.
Cambridge Sports Union (CSU) "CSU is organized into three sections: Running, Cross-country Skiing and Orienteering. The sections provide their members with a range of training and racing opportunities that allow them to develop fully as amateur athletes. All sections welcome families and individuals, and the Club sponsors several social events throughout the year.   The CSU Running Section has about 200 women and men at any given time. The running section organizes regular workouts for its members, coordinates team racing activities, and puts on a number of social events throughout the year. For those who are either new to the running scene or the New England area, CSU's friendly, collegial style fosters an excellent environment in which to meet training partners with similar goals and abilities". 
Cape Cod Athletic Club "The CCAC promotes running in the Cape Cod area by organizing many major road races each year, from one milers to marathons. Proceeds from the races are donated to charities, scholarships, and athletic programs in the local community. The club holds numerous fun runs, including the popular winter Grand Prix Series. Members offer each other encouragement during group training work-outs. Many club members help conduct youth running programs, and coach track and cross-country at local high schools."   Model of design consistency.  A few features were never implemented, but this is a really good site.
Central Mass Striders The absolutely best, number one, premier web site and running club on the planet. Gets a Barry 88 Star rating, the highest ever awarded, and the highest ever to be awarded, until Barry relocates to San Diego and takes over the SDTC web site. Dream on!
Club Connecticut "Club Connecticut will help runners of all ages to reach their competitive goals. All of us share a desire for success supported by coaches, families and sponsors. Our aim is to promote success at all levels and to applaud each individual as they achieve their goals". Weston, New Canaan, Darien, and beyond.
Community Running Association "The CRA membership is made up of "middle to back of the pack" runners who want to run for fun, for a good cause and to keep and build friendships through athletics. Our workouts are designed for those training for their first or fiftieth road race at distances ranging from 5K to the marathon!  In addition to providing professional coaching, group workouts, and other support services to our members, these benefits are also offered free to "pledge" runners in training for a charity event. Greater Derry Track Club "The purpose of the Greater Derry Track Club is to promote athletically related activities for the whole family, with particular attention to running, and to help area service agencies provide for our community.  The club, which is comprised of male and female runners of varying abilities, generates funds to support children's running, scholarships, and other community activities, through its races.  For example, the children who participate in the summer fun run program annually collect about 800 pounds of food per summer.  This food is then distributed by the Derry Recreation Department."  New Hampshire area.  Another well-done site. Empire One Running Club "a non-profit organization founded in 1981, is a member of USA T&F and the Road Runners Club of America. We welcome anyone who is interested in recreational or competitive running. We value each member of our club equally and we strive to offer each member, regardless of ability, a meaningful running experience. Most of all we offer friendly dedicated members who are always willing to help members reach their running goals"  Focusses on Western Massachusetts: Amherst, Holyoke, Northampton, et al.
Enfield, CT Events By Knut. "Welcome to a list of Road Races and other Sports Events in the Enfield, CT Area." Has running events and some other pretty interesting events. Web site uses all the web tricks:  graphics, colors, sound, animations.
Falmouth Track Club "The Falmouth Track Club is an organization of more than 200 folks who enjoy running for fun, fitness and competition. Everyone is welcome. The club organizes a variety of activities for members and their families. It also organizes several road races each year, including the Cape Cod Marathon. The club holds a weekly 5-mile race at 5:30 p.m. every Friday rain, shine or snow at Town Hall Square in Falmouth."
Greater Framingham Running Club "Formerly known as the Greater Framingham Track Club, we changed our name because we do more than just race and train. Our members range from the casual weekend runner to the experienced racer. The GFRC has a little something for every runner."

Green Mountain Athletic Club "For more than twenty years, the Green Mountain Athletic Association has been identified with running in Vermont. GMAA members, about 250 strong, span all ages and abilities, from children through runners in their seventies, walkers to Olympic Trials qualifiers, all united in their enjoyment of the sport. Highland City Striders From Mark Vital: "The Highland City Striders are a dynamic group of runners in the Greater Marlboro area who meet periodically to practice and compete at all distances. We presently meet at Ghiloni Park's parking lot on Monday and Thursday nights at 6:30 PM. Ghiloni Park is located on Concord Road, opposite the Marlboro Country Club. Hudson Mohawk (Albany) Road Runners Club The Hudson-Mohawk Road Runners Club is the Albany N.Y. area's largest running organization. The Club was formed in 1971 and today has over 2,000 members. Our members come in all shapes and sizes and from all walks of life, as well as different running styles and speeds. Indiana Invaders "The Indiana Invaders are a club of post-collegiate athletes training for USA Track & Field National Championship competitions in Cross Country, Indoor and Outdoor Track & Field, and the marathon. In the club's first full year (1999) of competition, 28 Indiana Invaders' athletes ranked in the top 50 in the US, 5 ranked in the top 10, 2 finished as national champions, and one was a World Champion. In 2000 18 athletes qualified for their respective Olympic Trials and 2 Invaders qualified for the Olympic Games."  Hey, they asked. 
Irish American Track Club "Not just for Irish.  The Irish American Track Club offers both competitive and social opportunities to runners of all abilities . Greater Lowell Road Runners "We Run the Merrimack Valley" in Lowell, MA. These are the guys in those green uniforms.  Fast, but no as fast as CMS!
L Street running Club "The purpose of the L Street Running Club (LSRC) is to encourage running at all levels. The LSRC is well suited for the recreational runner as well as the serious competitor. Our club serves runners of all ages and abilities from the Greater Boston area. The LSRC has "group fun runs" three days a week, as well as a noon time run five days a week. The LSRC hosts the Jim Kane Sugar Bowl 5 Mile Road Race each July, which attracts more than 1500 participants. All proceeds from the race are donated to charity. Marshfield Road Runners "a non-profit group dedicated to the sheer fun and camaraderie of running. We have been in existence since the dinosaurs. It is rumored that Fred Flinstone was one of the founding members. The average age approaches that of the Supreme Judicial court.  We are an informal group (very informal at that!) but we do have scheduled runs." Marshfield, MA area.
Mass Velocity Track Club "This club is built around a core of about a three dozen Masters Sprinters from throughout Massachusetts, New England and the Northeast.  Some belong to other running clubs, many are unattached, but we all share a camaraderie as sprinters.  Hopefully Mass Velocity will allow us to keep in touch with one another between meets, share training tips, nutritional information and generally support one another."  [posted April 2005]

MVS serves the running community north of Boston, Massachusetts, including eastern Massachusetts, southern New Hampshire, and southern Maine."

New York Road Runners Club "The NYRRC is conveniently located near Central Park on the Upper East Side of Manhattan at 9 East 89th Street (between Fifth and Madison Avenues). The NYRRC occupies a historic brownstone in the Carnegie Hill district of the Upper East Side."  New York Marathon site.
North Medford (MA) Club by Roger Perham. "We are a club that sponsors both a winter and summer series of races... at various locations in southern NH and eastern MA. We sponsor and conduct the Fred Brown Relay around Lake Winnepesaukee [NH]. We have some good runners but do not sponsor our runners. We run (and race walk) because we love the sport."
North Shore Striders "...founded in 1976 to promote running for both the recreational and the competitive runner. Our current membership of 125 men and women come from various running backgrounds and ages. Some members are competitive marathoners and ultramarathoners while others compete on the track and in cross-country.  As an active member of the North Shore Striders you will never find a dull moment. Tuesday Night Turtles By Ken Horn. The Tuesday Night Turtles, a lively fun-loving club, was founded in 1980 out of informal Tuesday evening fun runs.  From its humble beginnings (although few turtles are actually humble), TNT has now grown to over 75 members.  Turtles are, individually and collectively, interested in running, specifically road running, and associated activities which include casual socials after certain events.  These socials often become events themselves." Wampanoag Road Runners The Wampanoag Road Runners has grown to over 130 members. The purpose then, as it is now, was to provide a supportive and social organization for all runners of all ages and of all abilities, to provide regular activities for members, such as clinics, fun runs, local races, and to help promote the general sport of running at all levels in this area. Western Mass Athletic Club "People interested in recreational and competitive running and athletics are invited to join the Western Massachusetts Athletic Club based in the Adams / North Adams area. The Club was organized in 1979 when a group of competitive runners came together to form a club capable of fulfilling any runner's needs.
