Carol Hurley, who placed 12th overall, was both the first female finisher and the first female master. Cheryl Herring and Linda Usher placed 2-3 in the women's competition; Linda was also the second master. Ageless Marjorie Rosiello, competing as a 70+ year old, was the first female veteran.
UMass Lowell bound Jon Murphy, the son of Jim Murphy who anchored the CMS racing team from the late 1970's through the early 1990's, was the overall winner. Charlie Salmond, 6th overall, was the first master. Bob Girouard and Joe Drugan placed 2-3 among seniors, while Vito Ricciardi was the third veteran. Top CMS finisher was Andy Gallivan who finished 5th overall.
