Long-time CMS member Eric Morse took control early in the race and blitzed a field of 211 to win the 11th annual Grafton Gazebo 5-miler. Last year's winner, Richard Bolt, finished second.
In the women's competition, another long-time CMS member, Mary Lammi, finished 8th overall and was both the first female overall to cross the finish and the first female master. Jackie Shakar was second overall, while former CMS president Joanne Lachapelle was the second female master and fourth overall among female finishers. Laura Bewckwith was the first female senior, while Marjorie Rosiello, at age 70, was second in the women's 50+ competition.
Among seniors, Joe Drugan, Peter Orni, Nick Kanaracus and Ron Senosk finished 1-2-3-4, while Sean McKeon (Millbury) was the first junior.
