Tewksbury, MA - November 16, 1997

On the same day that CMS men's open and women's open teams were finishing first in the USATF New England Cross Country Championships held at Franklin Park in Boston, CMS managed to gain a men's open team victory in Greater Lowell Road Runner territory.  A team comprised of Jim Garcia (Westford), Steve Peterson (Chelmsford), and Mike Brisbois (Webster) topped the North Shore Striders and seven other teams, including the host GLRR in the 15K. 

Enroute to his 171 completed races in 1997, Ed Sato (Worcester) completed BOTH races.  Yoiks!
