Gardner - November 27th
- Sometimes this is a PR course. It was not one this past Thanksgiving Day.
- The course is a point-to-point from Gardner to Baldwinville which is more
- down than up in elevation. Hence, when atmospheric conditions are right, it
- is a very fast course. Unfortunately, the 120 who ran this past Thanksgiving
- Day morning ran into winds gusting 30-49 mph for practically the entire
- distance. As a results, times were universally slower than usual by 2-3 minutes.
- Karen Palmer (Fitchburg) was first overall among female finishers,
while
- Marion Connors (Baldwinville) was both the first female senior and
veteran.
- Bob Girouard (Fitchburg), Bland Addison (Worcester)
and Jim Toomey
- (Leominster) finished 1-2-3 among seniors. Paul McDermott (Fitchburg) was
- the first veteran and Joe Dora (Gardner) was the first age 70+
finisher.
- Top overall CMS finisher was Brad Fors (Leominster), who placed second
to
- Tim Blouin of the Greater Lowell Road Runners.
