Boston - October 26th
Rarely, if ever, has a New England race attracted as much
talent as did this year's Boston Mayor's Cup Cross Country Race
held in Franklin Park. CMS placed second in the women's 5017
meter race, just 21 seconds behind the Philadelphia based Asics
Club East. Scoring for CMS were Jen Waeger (Marlboro), Mimi
Corcoran (Mendon), Mary Lammi (Spencer), Amory Rowe (Cambridge)
and Jen Lincoln (South Boston). Mary was the first master.
In the men's 7935 meter, CMS placed fifth, but was the second New
England team, trailing only New Balance Coastal of Rhode Island.
Scoring for CMS were Sandu Rebenciuc (West Springfield), Mike
Nahom (New Milford, CT), Rusty Snow (Watertown), Darin Shearer
(Somerville) and Mark Mayall (Acton).
