Half at the Hamptons

This was the first time out for this race. It was great race and very well organized. The weather held off until about noon. Then we had some snow, sleet, and rain. The last 4 miles were straight into the wind - but the very high gusts held off until most competitors were finished. I am sure a few runners got soaked with the waves crashing over the seawall - a few barely missed me. Great food at the finish - pizza (I only saw empty boxes), hot chicken soup, and free beer. Tracy Flynn managed to clock about 20 miles. After the race she went to run a few more miles to retrieve her headband that she had dropped. She didn't realize that she had dropped it before the 10 mile mark. I even remember seeing it.
