| I don't know if there's such a thing as a small race in
Clinton. They just know how to bring the town out in support!
Even on a midweek night, almost 2/5ths of the 137 participants
in the race were Clintonians (or is that Clintonites?). And I
bet the 50+ walkers were comprised of a fair amount of locals.
Everyone gathered at the Elks club afterwards for Pizza, awards,
and raffles.
And speaking of awards, CMS runners once again came away with some of the trophies. Mike Weinberg and Adam Parslow finished 2nd and 3rd in the Men's Open age group. Bernie Jensen was first Veteran and Tracey Flynn was 3rd in the Female Masters. Yes, that Tracey Flynn who would bake all the fantastic breads for the WSC 5k's on Saturday Mornings, and who has been garnering a fair amount of culinary praise on Monday nights down in Kelly Square. Mmmmm, I think I'm looking forward to October when the weekly 5k moves back to WSC. |
