A nice big turnout at this week's Newton Hill cross country race: nearly 4 dozen runners of all ages, from grade-school kiddies up to newly retired "professor emeritus" types.

Stephen Polito and Rob Lind went 1-2 in the men's race this week. And Barbara McManus won the women's race, without really breaking a sweat. (... After the race, Barbara commented that she's not much of a downhill runner -- which means she's gotta be really really fast on the uphills.)

... The Newton Hill series continues throughout August, every Tuesday evening at 6:30!
