| CMS has gone international with the Venice marathon held October 22, 2006. Over the bridges and through the woods.....never mind...it was over the bridges and through the ancient streets of Venice, Italy in a time of 3:50:20 for
Brian Carroll. A must-do marathon although its a bit tough understanding the pre-race directions by the Italian announcer. A real international treat as you race side by side with runners from many nations and languages. There runners must have Ferraris in their sneakers because over 2/3 of the runners finish under 4:00. The weather was runner-friendly with overcast skies. Add this race to your destination schedule...it was worth the effort. |
