Mary Lu, Bernie and Megan had a fabulous and thrilling time participating in the race in Show Girl costumes in an affiliation with the Running Elvis group. It was the largest assembly of 75 “running Elvi” to be in a race together.  Mary Lu and Megan along with the Elvis Group stopped at mile 5 during the race to be witnesses for 24 couples who were married or renewing their vows at the run thru wedding chapel…only in Vegas!

The race had a start line temp of 53 and was a bit windy. Both the marathon and ½ Marathon began with a spectacular pre dawn fireworks show and a performance by Blue Man Group at the start line. The course highlights include running down the world famous Las Vegas Strip as well as a run thru the downtown Freemont Street Experience. Going down the strip at the start of the race was AWESOME…The Las Vegas Strip was closed to traffic for the start and curb to curb with 16,047 runners surrounded by the Neon lights of Vegas .  Further details here.
