| In an effort to be more consumer -oriented and to better serve and respond to the copious and sundry needs of our patrons, I am sending along the results of Christmas in July. We here in 'The Nation' wish to take this time to extend to you best wishes for a healthy and prosperous New Years in August. The roads may be icy, so please don't go out unless it is a medical necessity, so that the work crews can plow, sand and salt, and make the roads as safe as possible. They do a marvelous job , and how about a round of applause for all of them? Be careful out there. I may be arriving at Nuby in snowshoes.
Mark MiIler was one speedy elf on Wed last, a soggy holiday in July. He turned in a record-smashing 19:45 for four miles at Oak Park, with fellow All -American Josh Ferenc not far behind. Mark is a former 1500 meter national champ at Keene State. He has the wheels to do sub fives easy. Mark was third in Sunday's Stowe 8 -miler, a highly competitive event featuring the very best racers in New England. We are thrilled to have him on our side here in Sizzler Nation. Josh, too. We had 24 runners on a really horrific night. What noble warriors have we. |
