It seems like only yesterday that the Friends of Newton Hill had their first cross-country race. But now all of a sudden, the X-C race series is 5 years old! (Where does the time go?)

The first race of the 2006 Series was run last Tuesday, and Lou Cote won it in a course record time -- 18:31. Rob Lind finished just a few seconds back, earning him the prize for First CMS. And in the women's race it was all Annie Gorski (23:07), whose margin of victory was well over a minute. Julie Paradis outkicked Kathleen Kasper for the runner-up spot.
