| The only certified 11K in the US was run in Stoneham on November 11th. A moving tribute to Armed Forces Veterans was the order of the day prior to the cannon blast at 11:11, denoting the time of the signing of the Armistice ending World War I. The blast set 246 runners in motion over a moderately challenging course. Mark Wigler, 57, finished 12th overall taking the honors for both 1st Armed forces Veteran and 1st Senior (50-59). |
