Word has leaked out of Fitchburg, MA that long time runner Charlie Salmond was hit by a car while running recently...looks like he is going to be okay-that's great news!

Charlie trekked out to East Somerville a few times back in the mid 90's to run my Thursday night gig...always a gentleman--Fitchburg guys are like that, gentlemanly and they like gritty stuff cause it was gritty back then:>)

And yes there was a race tonight...our speedy Brazilian friend Andre Luiz Marques tore up the Worcester pavement tonight as did Caitlan Dwyer-Hupper...try saying those names 10 times fast...and the rest were the supporting cast:>)
