What happens in Vegas, stays in Vegas, right? Well, Linda and Doug Usher proved that CMS rules on the roads of Nevada. They placed 1st in their age groups, coming in far ahead of the competition. Overall, about 1,200 runners and walkers completed the uphill out and downhill back 5K. Running in the non-competitive (read no chips, no official results) group were John and Lynn Armstrong. Interesting post race food: bagels, hotdogs and burritos. Not a piece of fruit in site. A perfect mid-Fall day to run in the valley of Las Vegas. Moreover, a great respite from the casinos and the chaos of "the strip".
