WMAC Savoy 20 Mile Trail

Trail races up, down, and around Savoy Mountain in western Mass, sponsored by the Western Mass Athletic Club. Dave Mingori, cracked the top 10, placing 7th overall in this difficult 20 mile race. Dan Wagner rolled home 51st, with Lisa Mentzer and Gary Pedigo close behind.

Over in the four miler, Karen Lemirise rolled home 49th, followed by the rest of the Pedigo family: Karen, Jack, and 9-year old Virginia.

Savoy Mountain State Forest is part of the Massachusetts Park system. You can rent a cabin (right) for an overnight stay. the 20 mile course is an out and back run over hiking and ATV. trails. Hilly with an abundance of rocks and exposed roots. Can get very muddy with rainy weather.
