This fundraiser for a scholarship to a journalism school had a fine turn-out, despite the fact that Jack Kerouac would not have been caught dead in journalism school. Jack, Lowell's native son, was not a runner either – even though he did write ‘On The Road’. CMS’ own ‘Dharma Bums‘, Peter Wojtas, Pat Wojtas, and Steven Veach showed up to enjoy the party, and ran through the streets of historic Lowell with a lot of speed, which would have pleased old Jack.
