CMS Brings Home the Turkeys!

Brad Fors ran strong and took home the first Turkey, ousting his nearest opponent by over a 1.5 minutes.  Other proud turkey winners included Charlie Salmond (1^st senior, 4^th overall), Joe Drugan first Veteran  just edged out 17 year old Jayna McCarron (first junior and 3^rd woman overall), and Laura Beckwith finished 1st Senior for the women.  Other notable turkeys (winners that is) included Cyndi McCullough, Art French, Darlene Murray, and Pat Wotjas.   Sarah Fullen is looking forward to her birthday (coming soon) when she feels she will have a better shot at one of those turkeys next year….  We’ll all be routing for you Sarah!

As Brad Fors once said, “they really ought to change the name of that race from the Donelly’s Fast Five to Donnelly’s Hilly Five.”  It was a tough course but the weather was great (sunny, low 40s) the last mile was quick and the finishers were greeted with plenty of beer, warm soup and a chance to hang out at the Tavern with friends while watching the Patriots redeem themselves.J
