The 24th running of the Clarence DeMar Marathon was this past Sunday. Some 250 participants enjoyed the fast course, ideal weather, and terrific volunteer support.

Joel Richards had a strong race, placing top-10 among the masters and top-20 overall. Debbie Garcia finished top-10 among the women masters.

And ultramarathoner Jim Garcia led the pack until mile 19, when he realized he'd left his car keys back at the starting line. After running back to fetch them, he completed the race as usual. Net distance: 64.2 miles.
