[../../../../top/bottom.htm]Why not take the afternoon off from work and join the small group of CMS members who annually masquerade as golfers at the CMS golf tournament? If you are interested, contact Don Drewniak (978-464-2608) no later than August 15th. Pre-set foursomes are welcome as are non-CMS members. Total cost = $21 for green’s fees plus the cost of a cart for those who choose not to walk.
Special rules:
- Running the course does not lower your score. However, golf rules mandate finding your lost ball within 5 minutes or suffer a stroke penalty. So, consider running through the woods.
- There are no points taken off, or awarded, for style.
- Please, no runner shorts and no Ben-Gay.
- You may not fire off a starter's pistol when your opponent is putting.
- Speaking with a Scottish accent does not affect your score.
- The golfer with the low score gets honors on the next tee (gets to hit first). Sprinting to the next tee does not get you honors.
- Playing steeplechase at the water hole is a no-no.
- You are not allowed to run intervals between your tee shot and where the ball lands.
