It has often been said in the CMS newsletter that no one who consistently runs races in New England should miss the experience of running Fresh Pond (Saturdays mornings, 10:00AM, Fresh Pond, Cambridge). Ed Sato (Worcester), at age 68, made his 83rd race of the year the July 19th Fresh Pond 5M. Ed finished in 40:14. Ed was also the last finisher on June 19th at Khoury's Thursday Night 4.13M in Somerville with a time of 38:45. It seems that Ed took a wrong turn and ran an extra four or five blocks. Among Ed's other races: July 8th, Colonial Road Runners Summer Series 3.27M - 25:25; June 21st, Amherst 10K, Amherst, NH - 52:45; June 15th, Khoury's 4.13M, Somerville - 32:01 (first veteran age 65-69); July 22nd, Firefighter 5, South Hamilton - 38:58; June 14th, Walpole Village Fair 5K - 24:37; June 8th - Poweder House Pub & Grille 4M, Somerville, MA - 32:15 (3rd veteran); June 20th, Waltham Family YMCA, Waltham - 24:31 (2nd veteran); June 29th, Sharon Five, Sharon - 39:45; June 28th, Xaverian 10K, Holliston - 51:35 (3rd vereteran); June 22nd, Cherry Tree 5K, West Newton - 26:16.
