Dear Runner, This weekend is the final race in the USATF New England Mountain Series. The race starts on Saturday June 28 at 9:30 AM in Windsor, VT. The race is 3.8 miles long and climbs 2300 feet. As the steepest race in the series, Ascutney is considered by many to be a "half Mt. Washington". This weekend's race will also determine who wins the overall series and the series age groups. Age group winner will receive a medal courtesy of USATF-NE. The mountain series scores a runners best 4 of 5 races and gives a special "mountain goat" award to runners who complete 4 races. Mountain goats will get a special t-shirt as well as a bag of other "freebies" including several cans of Red Bull.
