Nifty Fifty

What a fun weekend! (not)  Mark Behan did a nice job to finish 3rd in the 50m.  Mark Godale ran an excellent time despite lousy conditions.

Well the race Sunday didn't go too bad.  It was pretty cold and wet and windy.  I ran with a couple of marathon guys for the first 21 miles then picked it up.  Decided I wanted to break 3:20.  Couldn't quite get under, 3:20:07 but was reasonably happy with it considering how sick I was this week.  Got the win and the Course record (soft 3:27), now on to some shorter races!  Splits below (note: I've run 23 minutes faster for 50k, so any excitement over a win is muted).  Picture by Gary Bridgman at 27 miles, at which time my hands were totally frozen....
