We are asking whoever gets this number to make a best effort to raise between $2,000 and $3,000 for the cancer programs at UMass Memorial Hospital. Obviously, we cannot be too strict, as time for the race is getting close, but we would like a "best effort" commitment. We will be happy to give any assistance we can in fund-raising efforts. 

John Hancock, who distributes the numbers, has requested that we return the applications to them by 16 Feb, so time is of the essence.
