·         Coordinate training dates, start time, locations and directions and provide to ASA staff by (date). Vary training sites (places, surfaces, etc.) where possible or necessary.

·         Plan any additional events the team will participate in.  For example, if the group will be participating in a ½ marathon event on a specific weekend, let staff know this as early as possible so that it can be part of the overall training schedule

If a participant is not participating in training sessions because they are having difficulty with the fundraising, the coach will oftentimes hear this information first and can relay this to the appropriate AHA/ASA staff.

Hello. My name is Sarah Watters and I am the Program Coordinator for the American Heart Association's Train to End Stroke Program.

Train to End Stroke is a Fundraising/Marathon training program to help the American Stroke Association raise money for stroke research. The marathon that we are going to is on June 24th, 2001 in Kona, Hawaii. Currently I am looking to hire a marathon running coach for the Worcester Metro Team. I have attached the job description for this position so that you have a better idea of what being a coach entails. If you could pass along this information to anyone that may be interested, I would really appreciate it.

Also, if you know of any other avenues I could pursue in order to complete my search for our coach, that would also prove extremely beneficial. I am looking to hire this person as soon as possible. Feel free to call me with any other questions or concerns.

Thank you
