A follow up to the story in the last CMS Multisport News, concerning the Wachusett Multisport team. I was contacted by Alan at Wachusett Cycle , who assures me the winnings of the Tri-team of last year are not "who knows where". The money will be distributed to the team members.  At Alan's request I contacted Bill Fiske, who was good enough to get me a list of names and addresses, along with the points list. I sent this list to Alan. 

As I said last month, CMS is restarting the triathlon team for 2000. Sign up at a Firm Grand Prix Series Event  as a CMS Trypig, CMS Triangle, or CMS Multisport member. All members will be scored as CMS Multisport. If we get enough people to race for CMS again, we can have singlets made, and in the future offer travel expenses for team members.  

Let's try and bring the team back to the level Ric built it to.

 The Second annual Ric Buxton Memorial Scholarship Fund 5-mile Road Race will be held Sunday May 7, 2000 at 1:00 p.m. Worcester State College. The Race was started last year to raise money for the Ric Buxton Scholarship fund at Ric's alma mater Worcester State College. Anyone wishing to donate to the fund should send a check to: Ric Buxton Scholarship Fund, P.O. Box 60002, Greendale Station , Worcester Ma. 01606.  I hope to see all Ric's friends from the Tri team at the race.  As he always ended:  Nuff' ced.
