Where did those Central Mass High Schoolers Go?

NCAA, Home Depot

June 14, 2004

It is intriguing to see how well local Central Mass and Massachusetts high schoolers fare as they move on to the college level.  Below are snippts from outdoor Track & Field featuring former local stars:
First up is Christine Moschella, who ran for nearby Hopkinton, winning several state championships along the way.  Christine competes for Stanford and qualified in the open 200, as well as the 4x100 meter relay and Mile relay.
This is the list of those accepted into the National Championship
pending modifications as a result of medical scratches. +++++++

Massachusetts has had a string of very serious milers, with Riley, Powell, Mohammed, and Gras.  Andy Powell of Oliver Ames, had won his state mile championship at the old Shrewsbury HS track as a junior.  Victor Gras just recently broke Andy's state meet mile record.  Here's Andy at the NCAA West Regional.
