Shalane Flanagan ( Marblehead '00 and North Carolina 04 ) took the
mile in a spiffy 4:42.59. Teammate Erin Donohue was second in 4:56.

Mike Smith ( Wachusett 99 and Georgetown 03 )
was 19th in the mile with 4:23. Teammate Chris Miltenberg took 1st in
4:13. Mike then came back to place 21st in the 3000 in 8:47.41.

| Popping up from the ranks of the graduated was Bill Speirdowis, the former Eastern Mass HS and Duke burner, and 800 state champ, placing 16th in the 3000 in 8:43. |
