Former Central Mass High Schoolers we found in the results:
When we last saw young Ariana, she was zipping away from every Massachusetts high school runner around. To top off her senior year, Ari swept the Central Mass, State and National mile runs. But college running, especially at Stanford, is a different gene pool. So, how did Ari do in her first event, the 4,000 meter Stanford Invitational? How about second to the kid who once took both the mile and 2-mile in the national High School indoor championships. Note: ignore the pace indicator...they used the wrong distance to calculate the pace per mile. And, even though Stanford took 1-2-3, they placed 2nd in the team competition to California. But, don't worry about Stanford, they also placed 4 women in the top 10 in the longer 6,000 meter event. |
