1:49.62 to qualify for the 800 meters finals. Joel then ran
1:49.93 to place 7th in the finals.

| Katie Litwinowich ( Wachusett '99 and UNH senior) moved
up from her normal distance and ran 4:37.08
for 27th overall in the 1500 meters.4:28.64 qualified for the
finals.

| Shalane Flanagan ( Marblehead '00 and North
Carolina junior ) another former state HS
champ, in the 2 mile, sprinted to the win in the 5000 meters, clocking
15:45.94.

| Kate O'Neil ( Milton HS and Yale senior ) placed
2nd in the 5000 meters, clocking 15:51.3. Twin sister
Laura O'Neil (also Milton and Yale)
placed 5th in 15:57.98. Have to be the fastest twin sister
distance runners ever, eh?

| Jarrod Shoemaker (Sudbury '01 and Dartmouth '05)
ran 14:24.91 in the 5K, placing 18th overall

| Molly Landreth (Newburyport '01 and Penn State
'05)
ran 10:08.42 to place 4th in the 3000 meter steeplechase.

| In the Western Regional, Christine
Moschella (Hopkinton '01 and Stanford sophomore)
ran the 3rd leg of Standord's 4x100 meter relay team. The
team placed 4th in the finals with
45.66. Christine also ran 54.22 in
the 400 meters to place 8th in the prelims and qualify for the
finals. Christine dropped down to 53.75 to place 6th in the
finals.

| In the National final, Joel Legare (
Wachusett '01 and U Conn sophomore ) ran a swift 1:50.27 in
the 800 meters to place 6th in his heat, 18th overall. 16
qualified for the finals, with 1:49.49 or better.
