Stanford Freshman Arianna Lambie, from the Bromfield School, Harvard, Mass, was named the PAC 10 Women's Cross Country Newcomer of the Year. Lambie, who finished third at the Pac-10 Championship - tops among all Pac-10 freshmen, was key in leading the Stanford women to its eighth straight Pac-10 title. She finished 23rd at the NCAA Championships as the Cardinal captured their second NCAA title. In High School: Ari was the 2003 Footlocker Northeast Regional cross country champion ... Helped her team win the state cross country title during her junior and senior seasons ... The 2003 U.S. Junior National champion in the 1500 meters with a time of 4:20.20 ... As a senior, had the fastest time in the nation in the mile and two-mile ... Her time of 4:37.23 in the mile is the third fastest high school time ever ... Ran 10:12.00 for two miles ... Won eight state championships in cross country, indoor and outdoor track ...
