Loads of Central Mass HS'ers showed up at the Southern Connecticut State University Invite.  
WOMEN'S TEAM SCORES: 1. U Mass Amherst, 173; 2. Boston College, 129.50; 3. SCSU, 109; 4. Mass-Lowell, 73.50; 5. Stony Brook, 53; 6. Fordham, 20.
 MEN'S TEAM SCORES: 1. U Mass Amherst, 143; 2. SCSU, 127; 3. Mass-Lowell, 117; 4. Boston College, 95; 5. Stony Brook, 79; 6. Fordham, 4

Mike Ahearn (St. John's Prep and U Mass Amherst)  ran  4:06.51 for 4th in the 1500 meters.  Kevin Alliette of U Mass Lowell was 1st in 4:00.14.  

Liz Gorecki (Fitchburg HS '99 and U Mass-Lowell) ran  1:08.24 8 for 2nd in the 400 meters. more about this athlete etc goes here

Brandy Green (Fitchburg HS and U Mass Amherst) ran  17.41 for 7th in the 100 Meter High Hurdles.  Brandy then came back to clear 12'00.00"  or 3.66m in the pole vault, good for 1st place by 1 1/2 feet.  

Doug Marcoux (Leominster 2000 and U Mass-Lowell) clocked  23.23 for 10th in the 200 meters, behind BC's Geoff Atkins' 22.25.  Doug was the 8th man on the U Mass Lowell team.  Yoiks!

Tim Sacino (Leominster HS 2001 and U Mass-Lowell)  ran 12.10 for 10th in the 100 meter finals.  Tim then ran 23.3 for 9th in the 200 meters. 

Joe Sans (Narragansett HS '98 and U Mass-Lowel) clocked  4:00.63 for second in the 1500 meters. 

Jenifer Vendetti (from nearby Franklin High and Boston College) ran  1:01.95 4 for 4th in the 400 meters. Therese Duncan of U Mass Lowell ran 58.56 for 1st.
