U Mass Lowell took the both the Men's and Women's team titles over 2nd place SCSU,  and third place Stonehill. 

 Jeff Backstrom (Leicester HS '98 and Bryant) placed 7th in the long jumpn with a distance of  20'10.00" 6.35m.  Jeff also placed  2nd in the triple jump, with a distance of 43'07.00" 13.28m.  

Jill Croft (Gardner High '98 and U Mass - Lowell) led all qualifiers in the 55 meter dash in  7.28 1, then topped the finals in 7.29.  As usual, Jill competed in a few more events, taking the 200 meter dash in 25.7, then scored a few more points placing third in the high jump, clearing 4'08.00", and even more points, placing 1st in the long jump, with 18'10.00".  That's 36 points on the day.  

Mario Fraioli (Auburn High 2000 and Stonehill)  was 4th in the mile, with a very nice 4:18.11.  

Liz Gorecki ( Murdock High '99 and U Mass - Lowell) placed  4th in the 800 in 2:28.7, then came back to place  6th in the triple jump - how's that for a double! - with a distance of  30'06.00".

Nate Jenkins (Narragansett High and U Mass - Lowell) placed 1st in the 5000 meters in  15:49.54. 

Doug Marcoux (Leicester High 2000 and U Mass - Lowell)  placed third in the 400 meters in 50.39.   Doug was also the 3rd man on his team, with the Paige brothers taking 1st and 2nd.  

Sean McKeon (Millbury High 2001 and Stonehill) placed second in the 3000 meters in  9:04.2

Jon Murphy (South High '99 and U Mass - Lowell) was 7th in the mile in  4:25.75.

Vinny Piarulli (Oxford High '98 and Bryant College) placed 12th in the 5000 meters in 18:47.10.

Tim Sacino (Leominster High 2001 and U Mass - Lowell 6.97) was 13th in the 55 prelims in 6.97,  then came back for 4th in the 200 meters in 23.41.  

Joe Sans (Narragansett High '98 and U Mass - Lowell)  was third in the 1000 meters in 2:33.14 6.
