Jill Croft (Gardner HS and U Mass Lowell) ran
7.39 in the 55 meter prelims, then accelerated to 7.28 in
the semis, then continued to improve to 7.25, good for
third in the finals. Ime Akpan of New Jersey's Shore AC was
first in 7.06. Jill no-heighted in the high jump. Oh
well. Jill then came back in the long jump to sail 17'
11.5" to place third. Shelanda Irish of Boston
International was first with 18. 0.5"

Kristy
Laramee (Leominster and Middlebury College) ran
competing for the Mid Vermont Track Club, took first in the high
jump by 2", clearing 5' 10".

| Tanya Latraverse (Blackstone-Millville HS and U Mass Lowell) not only has one of the neatest names around, but also placed 16th in the 800 in 2:28.8. Niara Woods of Wheaton was first in 2:19.62. What is it about BMR? They seem to turn out solid distance runners every year. |
Ellen
Beth (Wachusett HS and Bowdoin) accustomed to
leading the pack in high school, placed 12th in the mile in
5:30.73. Cecily Garber of Dartmouth was 1st in
5:05.29. Ellen also placed 19th in the 800 in 2:30.02.
Looks like Ellen used the Relays as a workout.

| Neal Graves (Mohawk HS and Dartmouth) who was recognizable in high school because he always wore shades, plus he always lead the pack, placed 4th in the 3K in 8:43.52. Jason Taylor of Dartmouth was first in 8:29.87. |
| Ben Peisch (Bromfield and Bowdoin) clocked 8:55.30 for 13th in the 3000. |
| Jon Murphy (Worcester South and U Mass Lowell) placed 21st in the 3000 in 9:04.36. |

Jeff Guenette (Fitchburg HS and Dartmouth) moved up to the 800 and ran 2:09.28 for 24th. Jeff also ran 8.13 in the 55 HH good for 11th...thus he was relegated to the 800 to get a workout. |
