Mary Cobb, the former Western Mass HS star,   Massachusetts state HS distance champ, and Stanford U grad turned up at the USATF New England Outdoor Championships held at MIT on June 15.  Mary clocked 4:24.84 in the 1500 meter, good for fifth place, behind Marie Davenport's winning 4:17.10

Jana Bromell (Wheaton College Junior and David Prouty HS) competed in the Natinal DIII championships, tossing the shot 42' 10 1/4", good for 8th in her flight.  48'9" was the winning toss for Montclair State's Nacole Moore.

Marissa Clapp (Springfield College and Murdock HS) placed 3rd in her heat of the 1500 meters in 4:45.61.  Marissa dropped to 4:39.43 for 6th in the final.

Shalane Flanaghan (North Carolina and  Marblehead HS ) ran 4:15.52 for third in the NCAA Division I 1500 meters. 

Kate O'Neill (Yale and Milton, MA HS) placed fifth in the 5000 meters at the D1 championships, clocking 16:13.6. Lauren Fleschman of Stanford was first in 15:51.

Laura O'Neill (Yale and Milton, MA HS) placed third in the 10,000 meters at the D1 championships, clocking 34:39.67. Lauren Fleschman of Stanford was first in 15:51. Kristen Price took first in 34:26.

Jonathon Riley (Brookline HS and Stanford senior) placed 7th in the 5K, running 14:05.18.  David Kimani ran under 14:00 for the win.
