U Conn topped the men's championships.  Notre Dame took the women's title. 

Joel Legare (Wachusett High 2001 and CONNECTICUT) ran  2:31.46 for eleventh in the 1000 meters.  Hamish Thorpe of Providence ran 2:26 for first. Joel also ran the second leg of U Conn's 2nd place 2 mile relay team. 

Franklyn Sanchez (Lynn Voke and GEORGETOWN) who ran the most spectacular 2 mile in Massachusetts High School history, ran  14:32.76 for seventh in the  5000 meters.

Mike Smith (Wachuestt High and  GEORGETOWN) ran  14:55.71 for 13th in the 5000 meters.  

Laura Smith (Wachusett High and  Boston College) ran  9:51.02 for 8th in the 3000 meters. Laura also ran the opening leg of BC's 6th place distance medley, and the 2nd leg of BC's 10th place 2 mile relay.
