The USATF sponsored the Challenge Cup, with teams from U Conn, URI, Brown, U Mass, and Providence. 

Mike Ahearn,  U.Massachusetts and St. John's Prep 2000,  ran  2:01.61 for 8th in the 800 meters.  Gabe DeLeon of U Conn was first with a nice 1:55.18. 

Joel Legare,  Connecticut and Wachusett HS 2001, ran 1:56.16 4 for 4th place in the same 800 meters.  

P.J. Morris,  Brown and Ayer HS clocked 6.64 in the 55 meter dash prelim, then  clocked 6.68 in the finals.  Kwesi F-Boateng of UMass was 1st in 6.37. 

11 Seth Resnick,  U.Massachusetts and Wachusett HS ran 6.88 in the 55 prelims, missing the finals.  Seth then came back with 23.70 in the 200 meters, good for 10th overall.  Anthony Lordo of URI was 1st in 22.12.
