Where did those Central Mass High Schoolers Go?  

Dartmouth Invitational

Nelson Gonzalez (Worcester North HS and Colby-Sawyer)  ran 7.32 in the 55 meter dash prelims, good for 15th place.  Nelson also ran 25.50 in the 200 meters, good for 21st overall.   And then, just because he still had his sneakers on, Nelson leaped 18'5.25" in the long jump, good for 15th place. 

Jeff Guenette (Fitchburg HS and Dartmouth)  placed 2nd in the 400 meters, running a very swift 49.39 

Lara Niell (Bromfield School  and Dartmouth)   placed 1st in the 3K in 10:06.22, winning by 16 seconds.   

Douglas Marcoux (Leominster HS and U Mass Lowell ) ran 24.23 for 11th overall in the 200 meters. 

Jonathon Murphy (Worcester South HS and U Mass Lowell) ran 4:24.78 in the 1500 meters, good for 5th place.  

Joe Sans (Narragansett  HS and U Mass Lowell)   placed 9th in the 3K in a time of 9:05.97.  

Jill Croft (Gardner  HS and U Mass Lowell)   placed 1st in the  55 meter prelim in 7.25, then dropped to 7.22 to take the finals. Normally, Jill runs several events, and often wins, but this time she took it easy. 

Tara Fay (Westboro  HS and U Mass Lowell)  placed 10th with a  toss of 39' 1.25" in the shot.  Teammate Heather Oldham had the winning toss of 47' 11.75".  Tara also placed 11th in the weight throw with a heave of 37' 7.75".  Dartmouth's Sarah Hayes won with 52' 11.5"  

Liz Gorecki (Fitchburg HS and U Mass Lowell)  placed 13th in the 400 meters in 63.75, behind teammate Therese Duncan's winning time of 57.36.   

Laurel Leaman (Nashoba  HS and St. Lawrence)   placed 5th in the pole vault, clearing 9' 0.25".  Laura Duncan took first with 10' 6".
