Tufts Holiday Classic

  Jill Croft  (Gardner HS and U Mass Lowell)  had a really busy day.  Jill ran the top qualifying time of 7.36 in the 55 meter dash, then roared home first in 7.27.  Jill then came back to take the 200 meter dash by over a second in 25.62.  Jill then switched to the field events, placing first in the high jump with a leap of 5' 7.75".  This is more than 4 inches over Jill's head. But wait!  Not done yet...Jill took the Long Jump with 18' 3.75", winning by over a foot.  Four events, four firsts.  

Liz Gorecki (Murdock HS and U Mass Lowell) was 5th in the 400 meters in 63.8. 

Tanya Latraverse (Blackstone-Millville HS and U Mass Lowell)  placed 9th in the 600 in 1:49.77.  Sarah Deeb of Tufts was first in 1:39. Tanya demonstrated nice versatility by coming back in the triple jump and placing 13th with a hop-step-jump of 9.25 meters (30' 4.25").  Cherricka Smith's 33' 10" took first. 

Doug Marcoux (Leominster HS and U Mass Lowell)  was 5th in the 600 in 1:24.44.  Teammate Tim Stott was 1st in 1:22.35.  

Nicole Carreau (Northbridge 2000 and Roger Williams)  ran  71.06 in the 400 meters for 13th place. 

Shauna Sullivan (Notre Dame and Roger Williams)  was 17th in the 55 meter dash in  8.27.  Shauna also placed 19th in the 200 in 29.2 

Kelley Henry (Uxbridge HS and Springfield College)  placed 6th in the 5000 in 19:40.2.  Teammate Barb Swallow ran away in 17:28.2

Jenna Carter (Shrewsbury HS and Springfield)  placed 13th in the 55 meters with a time of 8.05.     Jenna also placed 17th in the 200 meters in 29.38.  Jenna came back in the long jump with a leap of 14' 2.5", good for 13th.  

Lindsay Monroe (Wachusett HS and Keene)  was 14th in the  55 Meters High Hurdles in 9.76.  Rita Forte of Williams took the final in 8.57.

Jeremy Nute (Westboro HS and U Mass Dartmouth)  was 16th in the 1500 in 4:23.64.  

Louis Cote (South HS and Worcester State)  4:22.79 for 15th place in the 1500 meter run. 

Patrick Gemme (St. John's HS and Worcester State)  ran 4:20.89 for 12th place in the 1500.   

Matt Swett (South HS and Worcester State)  was 16th in the 600 meters in 1:36.76.   Matt also placed 10th in the 55 meter HH in 8.94.  And, since he was all warmed up, Matt placed 6th in the high jump, clearing 5' 8.75".
