Complete Results on Cool Running
Phil Loiselle, Leominster HS '97 and MIT (and occasional 52 Week 5K runner) placed 6th in the second section of the 1,000 meter run in 2:38.99 meter dash in 24.30 and first in the 60 meter dash in 6.72. Section 2 actually turned out to be the fast section, so Phil placed sixth overall. Phil needs to knock off that 0.99 to qualify for the ECAC division III championships.

Colleen Burch (Leicseter HS '98 and Wheaton College) placed 1st in the prelim round of the 55 meter dash in 7.35. Colleen then topped the field in the finals with a 7.36 photo finish with teammate Tenille Johnson. Colleen then came back in the 200 meter dash and placed fourth in 27.05. Teammate Angela Mullins took first in 25.73.
Jennifer Pirie, Northbridge HS and Stonehill, placed 5th in the same 55 meter dash in 7.71. Jennifer ran 7.70 in the prelim. Jennifer then came back to place fourth in the 55 meter hurdles.
Jana Bromell, David Prouty HS and Wheaton College, placed second in the shot with a toss of 11.73 meters. Teammate Lisa Wallin placed first with 12.72 meters. Jana also doubled back in the Weight throw, placing second, with a curiously similar distance of 11.73 meters.
Michael Wyman, David Prouty HS '99 and Worcester State, placed fifth in the 55 meter dash in 6.82. Michael then came back in the 200 meter dash to place eleventh in 24.25. Michael's day was not over yet...he came back in the high jump to place fourth with a height of 1.88 meters. Then, since he was already warmed up, he placed third in the Long Jump at 6.45 meters.
Bill Hodgerney, David Prouty HS and Worcester State, placed eleventh in the 600 meters in 1:32.08. 1st was 10 seconds faster.
Patrick Gemme, St John's 99 and Worcester State, placed fourth in the 1,000 in 2:38.86. Bruce Perlow of Amherst was first in 2:31.88
Steve Lemarbre, Hopedale HS 99 and Trinity, placed 12th in the 3,000 meters in 9:39.51. Kris Houghton of the Merchant Marine Academy was first in 8:34.09.
Andy Gallivan, Worcester Doherty HS 99, Worcester State, and occasional CMS 52 week 5K'er, placed 16th in the same 3,000 meters in 9:52.05.
