Wachusett HS and Boston College Laura Smith was 34th overall and 2nd runner for BC. BC is rated #7 in the country, and placed 6th in this meet. BYU was the top team.  The meet attracted the big guns of collegiate XC.

Erin Dromgoole (Millbury HS and Dartmouth senior) was 75th overall.  Erin was the lone Dartmouth runner.

Other former Massachusetts High schoolers included Shalane Flanagan (Marblehead HS, UNC) 3rd overall, and Sheela Agrawal (Case HS and Duke) was 20th.

Erin, Shalane and Sheela are all former state XC champions.

The men's race looked like a reunion of Foot Locker XC finalists.     Mike Smith (Wachusett HS, James Madison U transfer, now at Georgetown) cracked the top 10, coming home 9th overall.

How many Ryan Bousquets do you know? Shepherd Hill grad and Arizona State frosh (I think) Ryan Bousquet finished 106th against heavy competition.

Brookline HS and Stanford runner Jonathon Riley placed 3rd.  Stanford, of course, is loaded once again.  Louie Luchini, Maine HS'er and Stanford, was a lofty 9th.  It is amazing how some athletes just keep improving.
