Erin Dromgoole, Millbury HS and Dartmouth College junior, placed 13th in the 5K with a time of 17:20.89. Kathyrn Ireland of BU topped the field in 16:22.15. Eastern Mass HS'er Laura O'Neill of Yale placed 9th.
Laura Smith, Wachusett HS and Boston College frosh, recorded the tenth best time in the preliminaries of the 1500 meters in 4:34.90. Laura then came back to place 8th in the finals in 4:31.49. Emily Furia of William & Mary was first in 4:23.04.
Sheela Agrawal, Eastern Mass' Case HS and Duke frosh, ran 4:39.9 in the 1500 prelims and just missed qualifying for the finals. Sheela is the 1999 Massachusetts HS outdoor mile champ.
Katie Litwinowich, Wachusett HS and University of New Hampshire frosh, ran 2:14.00 in the 800 meters prelims, the 22nd fastest time. Katie needed to beat 2:09.82 to qualify for the finals. Pittsburgh senior Chantee Earl ran a very nice 2:03.14 for the gold medal.
