Colleen Burch, Leicester HS and Wheaton College, placed third in the 100 meter dash in 12.41. Jackie James of the Coast Guard topped the field in a meet record 12.18. Colleen returned in the 200 meter dash to place 4th in 25.54. Teammate Deshawnda Williams set the meet record of 25.15 to take first. Next up, Colleen ran the second leg of the winning 400 meter relay team. Wheaton set a new meet record of 48.59 in winning by over 2 seconds. And, once you have your sneaks laced up, you might as well use them, so Colleen ran lead-off in the winning 1600 meter relay. Wheaton set another meet record of 4:00.69.
Jana Bromell, David Prouty HS and Wheaton College, took first in the shot with a toss of 42' 8 1/4", winning by over a foot.
