Kevin Horgan, Oakmont HS and University of New Hampshire, placed 7th in the first heat of the 1500 meter trials with a time of 3:56.2. The 10th and last slot in the finals was 3:54.02. Dan Wilson of U Conn took first in 3:45.02.
Sean Murphy, St John's Prep and U Mass Amherst, placed 11th in the second heat of the 1500 meter trials, clocking 4:03.51.
Dan Conti, Quabbin HS and Holy Cross, placed 4th in the second heat of the 110 meter high hurdles, with a time of 15.40, good enough to qualify for the finals. Dan then ran 15.39 to place 8th in the finals. Ben Baraldi of U Mass Amherst topped the field in 14.50.
Tim Curran, St. John's HS and Providence College, placed 10th in the 5000 meters, coming home in 15:16.88. Marshall Armitage of Boston College was first in 14:45.43.
Wes Shaw, St. John's HS and Northeastern U, placed 2nd in the pole vault, clearing 16' 2.75". Jamison Whiting of UNH was first with 16' 8.75".
