Katie Litwinowich (Wachusett HS, University of New Hampshire), was an integral leg of a record-setting performance by the distance medley relay team. Katie Litwinowich (Holden, Mass.), joined Valerie WilIiams (Merrimack, N.H.), Jaimie Falcon (Shelburne Falls, Mass.) and Amy DeCamp (Londonderry, Mass.). They broke a long standing UNH record in the relay event with a time of 11 minutes, 54.02 seconds besting the previous mark of 12:02.5 seconds set back in 1984.
Back in December, Katie took first in the 1,000 meters in 3:07.08 in a dual meet against U Maine.
In that same dual meet, Kevin Horgan (Oakmont HS '97 and UNH) took the mile in a nifty 4:11.21.
Mike Dolan, St. John's HS and Providence College, placed 11th in the 3,000 meters in 9:38.27 in the New England Challenge Cup at Brown U on January 15. Teammate Adam Sutton topped the 3K field in 8:38.69.
