Abby Rubino, U Mass and Southwick-Tolland HS, placed 3rd in the 55 Meter dash in 7.72. Abby also placed third in the long jump with a leap of 5.07 meters, or 16' 7.75". Not sure if Southwick-Tolland qualifies as a Central Mass school, but what the heck...
Katie Litwinowich, U New Hampshire and Wachusett HS, placed 2nd in the 1,000 meter run in 3:00.07. The 1000 turned into a sprint with the first three places separated by less than one second.
Lisa Pepin, U Mass and Northbridge HS, tied for 4th in the high jump, going 1.52 meters or 4' 11.75". Top leaper was Sara Daoust at 1.62 meters. Lisa later shifted events to the weight throw, placing third with a toss of 12.86meters, or 42' 2.25".
