Karin Rood (Shrewsbury High '97 and Springfield College Sophomore) tossed the shot 38' 6.75" in her flight at the ECAC Division III Collegiate Championships held Saturday, May 8, 1999  Williams College. Karin's toss was good for eighth place.  Amanda Salb once again took first with a toss of 44' 5".

Karin then came back to toss the discus 104' 3" in the third flight, but did not place in the event.  Stacey Jones of Bowdoin took the event with a fling of 138' 8"

Wheaton College

Colleen Burch (Leicester High '98 and Wheaton College Frosh) clocked 12.69 in her prelim heat, then clocked 12.62 in the finals to place third in the 100 meter dash at the ECAC Division III Collegiate Championship, held at Williams College on May 8.  Jacqueline James of Coast Guard once again took first in 12.33.

Colleen then came back to to run 26.42 for third in her 200 meter heat. and, with the results being based on time,  eighth overall.  Courtney Smith of Ithaca was first in 25.59.
