Desmond Farelly (Narragansett HS '97) and Unity College Junior placed 43rd in 29:59 over the 5 mile course at Scarborough, Maine. Desmond was second man for Unity, which placed sixth of seven schools. Bates topped the field.

At the NEWMAC championships, at South Hadley, MA, over the 8K distance, we find:

MIT took first place. MIT's performance was so dominating, Phil was not even one of the first seven. Wheaton took sixth place, with Noah leading the way.
In the Women's race, Smith College placed fifth of ten teams. Yes!
