Forest Wilber (Quabbin HS 97) and Framingham State junior placed second in 26:57, just 9 seconds behind the winner, Daniel Smith of Salem. Fitchburg placed 6th in the meet. Westfield State College was first team. Did you know that Forest placed 1st in the 1996 Wachusett XC Invitational?
Jason Pappas (Fitchburg HS 98) and Westfield State sophomore placed fifth in 27:14. Jason was third man for Westfield, which placed runners in 3, 4, 5, 6, and 8.
Right behind Jason was Adam Roche (Doherty HS 98) another Westfield State sophomore in sixth with 27:15.
Andy Gallivan, (also of Doherty '98) was Worcester State's top man, finishing tenth in 27:59.
Patrick Gemme (St. John's) finally got his name spelled correctly in the results, so we can identify him as Worcester State's second man, finishing fifteenth in 28:32.
Russel Trottier (Northbridge 99) was Bridgewater's fourth man, finishing sixteenth in 28:40.
Eric Nygard (Naragansett 97) was Westfield State's eighth man, placing 17th in 28:42.
